Celebrities in Disguise is a month out, and organizers are taking some new steps to get the community involved.
With the Granada Theatre’s capacity limited at 90 people due to coronavirus, Director Rebeca Herrera says the event will take place inside the theater and will also be held on the Granada’s Facebook page.
The date is Feb. 20, with doors opening at 6 pm and the show beginning at 6:30 pm. The event is a spinoff of the popular “Masked Singer” and “Masked Dancer” programs, where judges try to guess the performers’ identities. Organizer Tagan Trahoon:
People can offer their guesses if they are at the event, and plans are in the works for setting up a text line for guesses as well.
Eight contestants are taking part, raising money for the Granada. For more information, call the Granada at 342-3342, go online to www.emporiagranada.com or find the Granada on Facebook. More information is also available on a special Facebook event page, emporiacelebritiesindisguise.
