Much-needed rainfall has come to the KVOE listening area.
The KVOE studios received just under an inch of rainfall starting late Sunday night. Other totals:
*Emporia Municipal Airport: 0.76 inches
*Allen: 0.30 inches
*Between Hartford and Olpe: 0.82 inches
*Lake Kahola: 0.75 inches
The KVOE listening area has been either abnormally dry or in moderate drought for the past several months. The current information from the US Drought Monitor has moderate drought conditions for most of Coffey County and abnormally dry conditions elsewhere, including Lyon County.
Winter weather advisories continue for Morris and Wabaunsee counties until midnight. Those counties could see up to an inch of snow and up to 0.10 inches of icing before the weather pattern settles Monday night.
