There has been at least one injury crash in the KVOE listening area due to icy roads early Monday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says two vehicles collided on the Kansas Turnpike in Osage County some 30 miles northeast of Emporia around 1:10 am. A pickup drive by 54-year-old Angela McDaniel of Topeka slid on ice as she was crossing a bridge. Her truck hit the center barrier wall and was hit by a semi driven by 40-year-old Marcelino Gabaldon of Kansas City, Missouri.
McDaniel was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Wichita for suspected minor injuries. Gabaldon was not hurt.
