Another modest increase in new coronavirus cases for Lyon County.
Public Health announced 25 new cases in its report Wednesday. That increases the caseload to 3,820 over the past 10 months.
Active cases declined from 136 to 120 between Monday and Wednesday. Deaths remained at 68 and the deaths awaiting final cause from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment remained at five. Active hospitalizations went from two to one.
Public Health says over 13,000 Lyon County residents have gotten tested for COVID-19. That’s almost 40 percent of the county’s estimated population of 33,400.
