Emporia State University is getting ready for Founders Day, COVID-19 edition, next month.
The virtual event will take place at noon Feb. 12. As part of the program, the university will honor those who established Kansas State Normal School, the original name of the university, back in 1863. The program will also include the presentation of the annual 1863 scholarship essay contest as well as student performances and a celebration of generosity through planned giving by the Kellogg Society. A special, unspecified announcement is planned at the end of the event.
An interactive After Party follows. University administrators will offer more in-depth information at campus happenings.
Residents can watch both events online, but advance registration is required. Click here for information.
