Corey Wiltz will be returning to Emporia High School later this year in a new capacity.
Wiltz has been selected to take over as the newest Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at EHS for the 2021-22 school year. Wiltz is currently the Principal and Athletic Director for North Lyon County Elementary and Junior High school.
Prior to his tenure with USD 251, Wiltz was a technology teacher at Emporia High School for nearly fifteen years, the last six of which he served as the Technology Department chair. In a news release Wiltz says “I am excited and honored to return to USD 253 and Emporia High, I very much look forward to growing and developing professional relationships with students, staff, and
parents, #EmporiaProud.”
Current EHS Principal Dathan Fischer stated in the same release “I am pleased that Corey will be joining our administrative team this summer and I am looking forward to his leadership as an assistant principal and athletic director.”
Wiltz will assume his new role effective Jul. 1 2021 following the retirement of current EHS Assistant Principal and Athletic Director Curtis Simons.
