The Emporia High girls defeated Hutchinson 41-25 on day 2 of the Glaciers Edge Tournament.
After a low scoring first half, the Lady Spartans led 12-7 at halftime, Emporia High responded in the 2nd half.
Coach Carolyn Dorsey said it began with defense.
Gracie Gilpin led the offense with 17 points. Rebecca Snyder added 14 points and 15 rebounds.
The Lady Spartans play Maize Saturday afternoon with tip-off set for 1:30p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
