Emporia Police arrested one man after a reported foot pursuit in northwest Emporia on Saturday.
Law enforcement went to Walmart early Saturday afternoon on an outstanding warrant, according to Police Sgt. Tim Wacker. The suspect, 49-year-old Hayward McKoy, allegedly fled east across Industrial Road but was caught nearby.
Formal charges are pending.
McKoy pleaded no contest to single counts of battery and interference with law enforcement after a stabbing incident at Emporia’s IHOP in August 2018.
