The Emporia High girls basketball team was outscored by Maize 49-40 in the final game of the Glaciers Edge Tournament Saturday.
Maize used a 14-4 run in the 3rd quarter to take control of a close game.
Emporia High Coach Carolyn Dorsey said it was a good effort.
Gracie Gilpin led Emporia High with 20 points.
The Lady Spartans are now 7 and 5 for the season. Their next game will be Friday at home against Topeka High.
