For the second time in a week, the Emporia area had a healthy rainfall.
On Saturday, the KVOE studios got over 0.70 inches of rain — which was one of the lower totals reported:
*Emporia Municipal Airport: 1.26 inches
*Ninth and Lawrence: 1.2 inches
*10th and Weaver: 1.3 inches
There were several crashes on the Kansas Turnpike as the rain fell, but nobody went to hospitals as a result.
On Monday, the KVOE studios picked up just under an inch of rain. Other locations got 0.60-0.85 inches as part of the same system.
