Traffic is back open on the US Highway 50 roundabout in far west Emporia after a semi overturned in the roadway late Sunday morning.
According to Emporia Police Lt. Kevin Risely the semi in question was traveling along the southern section of the roundabout when a gust of wind struck the truck. The vehicle then tipped over onto its side and came to a rest on the southern shoulder.
Eastbound traffic was able to continue following the accident but was later detoured around the crash site as crews cleared the semi from the scene. Westbound traffic was unnaffected.
No injuries were reported.

No injuries were reported following a semi-rollover on the US West Highway 50 roundabout in far west Emporia Sunday morning.

Eastbound traffic was able to continue through the roundabout but was limited to one lane. Westbound traffic was unaffected.
Crews are still on scene working to remove the semi from the roadway. Eastbound traffic is being detoured around the crash site at this time.
