Now that coronavirus vaccines are starting to come in more regularly, Lyon County’s public transportation agency is working to accommodate residents who need a trip to get those medications.
LCAT Transportation Officer Janice Arb says the agency will offer vaccination transport at no cost.
Arb says vaccination pods set up by both Flint Hills Community Health Center and Newman Regional Health will have the free bus service available.
Normal fares will remain effective for all other trips.
Finance Officer Shane Brunner says LCAT has wanted to help for a while, although the plan developed over late last month.
