A man accused of being involved in a shooting and home invasion robbery last fall will return to Lyon County District Court twice next month.
Kenneth Hopkins appeared in district court Friday afternoon for a pretrial hearing. During that time two separate hearings were set for mid and late March.
Hopkins will first appear for a mediation hearing on Mar. 12 at 2:30 pm and will follow up that appearance with a motions hearing set for Mar. 17 at 2 pm.
Hopkins is charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery and an alternate count of criminal trespass. Emporia Police have accused Hopkins of being involved in a shooting at Linn and Whildin as well as a robbery at 9 South Rural in late October.
Court proceedings are pending against 24-year-old Lance Sutton, who was arrested in late October in connection to the incident. A third suspect, 24-year-old Marcos Diaz, remains at large at last word.
