Emporia State Federal Credit Union is expanding.
The credit union announced Tuesday it has purchased the former BLI Rental LLC building at 715 Merchant Street. The purchase comes as ESFCU has begun to outgrow both of its current locations at 310 W. 12th Avenue and 2332 Industrial Road.
According to ESFCU President Angie Miller, the location at 715 Merchant will not be a third branch of the credit union and will only serve as a support location for staff.
Those upcoming projects include the launch of a new website over the next month, a redesign of the Credit Union’s debit card, an upcoming “conversion” and expansion into text and televideo banking.
Miller says the Credit Union just closed on the property Monday and the move of staff and equipment is set to take place over the next few months, however, an exact date for when the move will be complete is currently pending.
