With the Super Bowl fast approaching, there are two individuals that will be fixed on the television Sunday.
Stephen Coleman and Brendi Allison have outlasted all other contestants in KVOE’s annual Watch the Chiefs promotion and have a chance to claim a new 55-inch TV depending on the final score of the game.
Coleman received the Kansas City Chiefs after being the final contestant to qualify for the competition earlier this season. Coleman, a lifelong KC fan, has a lot of faith in his team and says he had already begun clearing a space for the new appliance.
Allison, also a big Chief’s fan, is relying on the Tampa Bay Buccanneers and Tom Brady to bring the TV to her home. Allison admits she’s not the biggest Brady fan, and even with the TV on the line, she’s not likely to change her allegiance.
Throughout the NFL regular season, listeners to Country 101.7 FM had a chance to name two mystery players during each game. Successful participants then qualified for the chance to win the television and also received a free one-topping pizza from Gambino’s.
The Super Bowl will air on Country 101.7 FM, KVOE 1400 am and 96.9 fm Sunday with coverage beginning on 101.7 at 2 pm with the Road to Tampa special. Coverage on 1400 am and 96.9 fm begins at 1 pm.
Kickoff is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
