The Emporia High girls basketball team never trailed in a 48-32 win over Manhattan Saturday.
The Lady Spartans held a 14-7 lead at the end of the 1st quarter and would not give up the lead.
Coach Carolyn Dorsey called it a good win.
Rebecca Snyder led Emporia High with 14 points, Macey Adams added 12 points and Gracie Gilpin finished with 10 points. The Lady Spartans improve to 8 and 6 for the season.
The Emporia High boys scored the games first 2 points, that would be the only time they led in the game, a 59-35 loss to Manhattan.
Coach Beau Welch said they were dominated physically.
Hunter Hines led the Spartans offensively with 11 points. Charles Snyder added 10 points.
The Emporia High boys are now 7-7.
Both the Emporia High girls and boys will host Highland Park Monday. Game times will be 5 pm for the girls and 6:30 pm for the boys.
