Lyon County commissioners have a lot of ground to cover in their next action meeting Thursday.
Commissioners will get the latest countywide coronavirus update from Health Officer Dr. Ladun Oyenuga and Lyon County Public Health Incident Commander Renee Hively near the end of the meeting.
Road matters will be a feature. Commissioners will have a public hearing at 10 am on whether to declare certain roads as minimum maintenance. In addition, commissioners may give directions on whether to change Road 170 between Roads F and G from concrete to gravel as well as a request from the city of Reading to chip seal 25 blocks of city streets.
Upgrades at the Law Enforcement Center will also be discussed. Sheriff Jeff Cope will discuss a security upgrade, while Facilities Director Mark McKenna will discuss a $32,000 water storage tank replacement project.
The meeting starts at 9 am at the County Courthouse.
