The Emporia High girls used a 4th quarter rally to defeat Manhattan 42-36 Friday night.
The Lady Spartans trailed most of the night before outscoring Manhattan 19-10 in the final 8 minutes of play.
Coach Carolyn Dorsey was pleased with the way they responded in the 2nd half.
Gracie Gilpin led the Emporia High girls with 20 points.
They are now 10-6 for the season.
Manhattan won the boys game 58-37.
Emporia High held the lead in the 1st quarter but would be outscored 35-18 in the 2nd half.
Coach Beau Welch said they folded in the 2nd half.
Charles Snyder was the leading scorer for Emporia High finishing with 12 points.
Both the Emporia High girls and boys are scheduled to play at Junction City on Tuesday.
