A sprinkler incident at the Lyon County Jail is under investigation.
Emporia Fire says the early indications are two inmates apparently burned some paper early Monday and tampered with a nearby sprinkler head. Deputies and jailers shut off the water before there was any major damage.
The Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
