Travel conditions are improving, so Emporia Police are lifting the city’s emergency accident reporting procedures.
Special crash reporting procedures started Sunday after the first of two rounds of light snowfall areawide and continued beyond the second round Monday. The special procedures let drivers involved in non-injury crashes exchange insurance information and other pertinent information with other drivers involved. They can then report the wrecks to Emporia Police at their convenience instead of immediately after the crashes.
More light snow is possible Tuesday night into Wednesday, with less than an inch of snow possible in Emporia.
