The Emporia High girls basketball rolled to a 62-23 win over Junction City Thursday night.
After a sluggish 1st half the Lady Spartans outscored Junction City 34-8 in the 2nd half.
Emporia High Coach Carolyn Dorsey said they answered the bell in the 2nd half.
Rebecca Snyder scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.
Gracie Gilpin added 21 points.
The Emporia High girls are now 11-6 for the season.
Junction City won the boys game 60-54 in overtime.
The Spartans held a 5 point lead in the 4th quarter but were unable to hold off the end of the game rally.
Emporia boys Coach Beau Welch said one of the differences was made 3 point shots.
Charles Snyder scored 21 points to lead the Spartans. Parker Leeds finished with 11 points.
The Emporia High boys are now 7-10 for the season.
Both the Emporia High girls and boys are scheduled to host Topeka West Friday night.
