Add the name of Braxton Higgins to the list of Emporia High divers to be crowned a State Champion.
The Spartan Sophomore won the 5-1A State diving championship by over 142 points. He finished the season after taking 1st place in every meet this season and set new school records for 6 and 11 dives.
The 200 free relay of Rudy Bedolla, Mason Harmon, Cam Geitz, and Daniel Knapp finished in 22nd place with a season-best time.
As a team, Emporia High finished in 22nd place.
