The Emporia State baseball team gained a split of their 4 game series at Colorado State-Pueblo. The Hornets won Mondays game 8-6.
The Hornets scored 3 runs in the 7th, 2 runs in the 8th, and a run in the 9th to earn the win.
Chanler Bloomer was 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored and an RBI.
Quinn Cherry drove in 3 runs, two with a home run in the 7th. He also doubled twice.
Brady Michel also drove in 3 runs with 2 doubles.
Alex DeBey was the winning pitcher. He pitched the final 2 and a 3rd innings giving up no runs on 1 hit.
The Hornets are now 2-2 for the season. They are scheduled to open MIAA play at Missouri Southern this Saturday and Sunday.
