LCAT is adjusting its afternoon bus options due to a shift in ridership trends.
On KVOE’s Morning Show this week, Transportation Manager Janice Arb said the afternoon route bus is getting shelved for now.
People wanting to use the demand bus have to call LCAT at 343-4207 to schedule their pickup. They also have to call to schedule their return trip.
Arb says this has no impact on the morning schedule as traffic has stayed at a relatively high level. and will have no impact on LCAT’s transit options to the county’s coronavirus vaccination clinics. It also will not affect LCAT’s regional travel option, which is also having steady travel numbers from years past.
Finance Officer Shane Brunner says LCAT buses now have the option of full capacity after the agency trimmed capacity by at least half at the start of the pandemic last year. Riders need to wear masks in order to get on.
