Emporia High had five Lady Spartans on the podium at the Division I girls state wrestling championships Thursday.
Madelynn Griffin finished in third place at 126 lbs.
Virginia Munoz finished in fourth place at 138 lbs.
Senior Trinity Ervin took fifth at 191 lbs.
Hannah Boa finished in fifth place at 143 lbs while Megan Olson finished in sixth place at 235 lbs.
Head Coach Shawn Russel says he is impressed with his team’s performance.
Evelin Geronimo also qualified for the state tournament at 101 lbs.
