Lyon County’s coronavirus stats are moving in the right direction, based on Friday’s report from Public Health.
The agency reported nine new cases between Wednesday and Friday. It’s the lowest since three new cases were reported Feb. 8 and the second time this month Lyon County has had a single-digit increase in new COVID cases.
Lyon County now has 4,069 total cases over the last 11 months.
Deaths held steady at 79. Pending deaths held steady at three. Active cases went from 74 to 58.
Friday’s report also represents the lowest weekly total of new cases since early July. There were 24 new cases this week. The week of July 5 had 25.
