Two area counties announced new COVID-19 data sets Friday.
Greenwood County only had one new case to announce, moving its total to 587 over the past 11 months. The county health department also announced one death, pushing that total to seven. The health department had not announced a COVID-related death since Dec. 10. At that time, the total was two.
Greenwood County has five active cases, down one from Monday.
Coffey County added 10 new cases, so its total caseload is at 658 since last March. One person died since the previous report Feb. 18, so that total now is 14. There are 13 active cases, down from 30 in the prior report.
Lyon, Chase, Morris and Osage counties are on track to announce new data sets Monday.
