The Emporia State baseball team opens MIAA play today with a doubleheader at Missouri Southern Saturday.
Junior outfielder Sam Chaput says they are looking forward to beginning conference play.
Emporia State and Southern will play a single game Sunday. Emporia State is 2 and 2 going into the weekend series.
