Coronavirus has led to the cancellation of a local service club fundraiser.
The Emporia Lions Club is canceling its annual biscuits and gravy breakfast originally set for this upcoming Saturday. The club has held the fundraiser the first Saturday in March since 1990, and it’s considered the club’s main fundraiser for the year.
The Lions are tentatively looking at March 5, 2022, for next year’s event. With the pandemic ongoing, the club is asking residents to stay safe and get vaccinated.
