Friday will be a busy day for Emporia State athletes, softball, mens tennis, and volleyball all scheduled to compete.
The Emporia State softball team will be hosting the 5 State Classic that beginning today. The tournament features 12 teams and 30 games to be played the next 3 days.
Emporia State will play Concordia St. Paul this afternoon beginning at 3 pm. Followed by a game against Minnesota State Moorehead at 5:30p.
Senior Kelsey Phillips is 2-0 in the circle with a 0.00 era. She also has a 389 batting average with 6 RBI. After having last season cut short due to COVID she is glad to be playing.
12 teams are scheduled to play 30 games Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Games begin at 10 am Friday at the Trusler Sports Complex.
The Emporia State mens tennis team plays at Friends.
The Emporia State volleyball team plays at Newman.
