The search for a new president at Flint Hills Technical College is moving forward.
The college’s search committee has reviewed qualifying applications and will start preliminary virtual interviews with the smaller candidate pool now in place. The process will see another reduction in candidate numbers before a list of finalists is presented to the Board of Trustees for on-campus interviews and forums.
The college is not saying how many candidates applied and how many advanced.
Finalist recommendations and on-campus interviews may take place next month. The board says it plans to announce a new president in June.
Current President Dean Hollenbeck announced his plan to retire last fall. He has led the college since 2006.
