The Emporia State baseball team split a doubleheader with Central Oklahoma Thursday.
The Hornets won the first game 5-1 behind the pitching of Jake Barton who was the winning pitcher going 7 innings giving up one run on 2 hits with 8 strikeouts.
Central Oklahoma won the 2nd game 11-5.
Emporia State Coach Seth Wheeler said there was 1 difference between the two games.
The two teams are scheduled to play a single game Friday afternoon with the first pitch now set for 3 pm, weather permitting.
