Economic development and public health matters will be front and center for the Lyon County Commission with their action meeting coming Thursday.
Commissioners will get the latest weekly public health report from Lyon County Health Officer Dr. Ladun Oyenuga and Public Health Incident Commander Renee Hively.
Separately, commissioners will hold a public hearing for an economic development project involving A1 Pump & Jet. Back in September, owners Ron and Judy McCoy asked the county to act as a pass-through agent for Community Development Block Grant funding to let the business expand.
Other business includes a presentation on Lyon County’s involvement in the Walk Kansas exercise program and a potential purchase of a dump truck for the Lyon County Highway Department.
The meeting starts at 9 am in the County Courthouse.
