The Emporia High girls swim team begins their season Thursday. They will be hosting a meet.
After having the 2020 season canceled the Lady Spartans return 2 swimmers and a diver who competed at State two years ago.
Senior Emily Leihsing is thankful to have a season.
Leihsing was a member of the 200 and 400 free relays that qualified for state.
Hailey Williams was a member of both relays and also qualified in the 500 free in 2019.
Cadance Vincent placed 10th in diving in 2019.
Coach Jamie Dawson says there is a good mix of experienced swimmers and young swimmers.
Thursdays meet will be a swim only meet and begins at 4 pm in the High School Pool.
