The Emporia High girls swim team finished in 2nd place out of 6 teams in their season-opening meet Thursday.
Emporia High Coach Jamie Dawson called it a good first meet.
The Lady Spartans had 1 first-place finish, Brooklyn Wiltz had the fastest time in the 50 free.
Emily Leihsing finished in 2nd place in the 100 free.
The 200 free relay team of Alison Brown, Kaitlynn Laudie, Brooklyn Wiltz, and Emily Leihsing finished in 3rd place.
Washburn Rural finished in 1st place in the team standings.
