The Emporia State volleyball team was swept by Newman Friday night.
Newman won 25-21, 25-23, 25-13.
Emporia State Coach Bing Xu said they came out flat.
The Lady Hornets are slated to host Central Oklahoma Saturday afternoon with the first serve set for 3 pm at White Auditorium.
