The Flint Hills Technical College Presidential Search Committee has named the finalists to potentially take over as college president following the retirement of Dean Hollenbeck later this year.
The three finalists include Dr. Caron Daugherty the current Vice-Chancellor of Instruction at Metropolitan Community College in Kansas City, MO, Dr. Herbert Riedel the former president of Lurleen B Community College in Andalusia, AL and Dr. Sandra Kiddoo the current chief academic officer at Hazard Community and Technical College in Hazard, KY.
Each candidate will have a separate day-long visit to the college beginning next Monday with Dr. Daugherty.
The visit will include meetings with college administrators, a tour of the community, time to engage with community members, FHTC students and staff and will conclude with a final interview with the FHTC Board of Trustees.
Additional information on all three candidates will be released on the day of their scheduled visit. The search for a new college president was triggered following Hollenbeck’s retirement announcement last fall.
Hollenbeck will officially retire in June and has led the college since 2006.
