The Emporia State volleyball team plays Washburn and Missouri Western in Topeka Saturday and the tennis teams open MIAA play at Northwest Missouri State.
Even though the volleyball team did not win their last two matches, Sophomore Orianna Clements says they have taken big strides forward.
Both the Emporia State womens and mens tennis teams are undefeated going into MIAA play. Sophomore Kelsi Burr is 4-1 at number 1 doubles and 5-0 at number 4 singles.
For the men, Taylor Nelson is 5-1 at number 1 doubles and 5 and 1 in singles play.
Sunday Emporia State plays at Washburn.
