A red flag warning for critical fire danger has been re-issued for Lyon, Coffey, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee counties after all area counties were covered by red flag warnings Monday.
Tuesday’s alert runs from 12-6 pm.
Tuesday temperatures will be cooler, topping out around 60 degrees instead of 80, but relative humidity levels will be low and wind gusts will be at or above 35 mph for much of the afternoon. Outdoor burning will not be allowed in these counties and will be strongly discouraged in Chase and Greenwood counties Tuesday.
