Ongoing roof repairs took another step forward for Newman Regional Health on Wednesday.
The hospital’s Board of Trustees approved two projects, one involving an area above the boiler and mechanical areas and the other above parts of the same-day surgery and operating rooms. Chief Executive Officer Bob Wright says this is part of a wider project.
The estimated outlay for the repairs approved Wednesday will total almost $225,000. This round of repairs will continue through 2023.
In addition, a better than $140,000 software upgrade to help doctors better study images without slowing down work flow. The Merge PACS upgrade will also let patients have immediate access to their images within the Meditech software system as the hospital continues emphasizing telemedicine during the coronavirus pandemic.
