Repair work continues, and likely will through the remainder of the week, at Flinthills Mall to repair a significant water leak.
Mall manager Clarence Frye tells KVOE News the first round of repairs to fix the leak between Tuesday and Wednesday was successful, however, after pressurizing the system they discovered the original source of the leak was under the building’s foundation. Given the difficult positioning of the leak and the availability of supplies, Frye estimates water service may not be fully restored until Friday afternoon.
Frye says the north half of the mall has water service, but the south half does not. That includes DaVita, which offers dialysis services and has pushed Wednesday’s schedule to Thursday. DaVita is currently working to secure an additional water source to continue serving their patients.
Crystal Nails, meanwhile, is closed until at least Monday.
All other businesses and services are still operating at this time.
