At the ESU High School Relays the Emporia High girls finished in 3rd place and the boys 5th. The Olpe girls and boys finished in 8th place and the Waverly girls and boys finished in 10th place.
Individually Emporia High had 1 champion. Daniel Knapp took first in the triple jump with a personal best jump of 40 feet 6 and a half inches.
Daniel also placed 3rd in the long jump.
1 Area athlete also earned a gold medal.
Olpes Max Blaufuss took first in the javelin with a personal best throw of 187 feet 8 inches.
