The Baylor Bears won the NCAA Division I Mens Basketball Championship outscoring previously undefeated Gonzaga 86-70 Monday night.
Baylor jumped out to a 9-0 lead and never trailed. They led by as many as 19 points in the first half and by 20 points in the 2nd half.
Jared Butler led Baylor in scoring with 22 points and was named the Tournaments most outstanding player.
Jalen Suggs led Gonzaga in scoring with 22 points. Gonzaga Coach Mark Few said he was proud of his team.
It is the first mens national championship for the Baylor men.
