Osage County Deputies arrested two Melvern residents Saturday on suspicion of theft and drug charges.
According to Osage County Sheriff Chris Wells, the Sheriff’s Office received a call Saturday afternoon about a suspicious vehicle and individuals allegedly trespassing and removing items from private property located near South Jordan Road and K31 Highway, near Melvern Lake. As deputies responded they were informed the vehicle was leaving the area and later located a vehicle matching the description at a residence in the 1100 block of East 301st Street.
Authorities then executed a search warrant at the residence and recovered stolen property and narcotics.
Authorities later arrested 64-year-old Kim L. Salzman and 53-year-old Christopher L. Winters both from Melvern.
Salzman was arrested on suspicion of burglary, theft, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia while Winters was arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft.
Formal charges are currently pending.
