Emporia city commissioners have a range of topics to discuss when they have their study meeting Wednesday morning.
Near the end of the meeting, commissioners will review the latest housing policy draft. This comes after extensive reviews and discussions in recent City Commission meetings about the city’s role in Rural Housing Incentive District policy and precedes a discussion on KVOE’s Morning Show at 8:20 am Thursday on the topic.
Separately, commissioners will discuss Tax Increment Financing and Community Improvement District funding options for the travel plaza in development just west of US Highway 50 and Graphic Arts.
In addition, commissioners will discuss a potential urban grown area agreement to replace the metropolitan planning area, as well as water tap fees and the annual financial update.
The meeting starts at 9:30 am at the Municipal Court Room.
