The Kansas City Royals held on for a 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Angels Tuesday night.
The Royals scored single runs in the first, third, and 5th innings.
The Angels were able to score only 2 runs on 12 hits.
Mike Trout struck out 4 times.
Danny Duffy was the winning pitcher going 6 innings giving up 1 run on 8 hits with 6 strikeouts.
Salvador Perez would pick off a runner at 3rd base to end the game.
The Royals and Angels play again Wednesday afternoon. Brad Keller is the scheduled starter for the Royals.
The first pitch is set for 1:10p.
The Royals made some roster moves before Tuesday’s game against the Angels at Kauffman Stadium, placing reliever Josh Staumont on the injured list, while selecting right-hander Ervin Santana and recalling right-hander Tyler Zuber from the alternate training site. The club also optioned infielder/outfielder Ryan McBroom to the alternate training site.
