The Kansas City Royals defeated the Los Angeles Angels 6-1 Wednesday afternoon.
Carlos Santana hit a 2 run home run in the 3 run 7th inning to give the Royals a lead they would not give up.
Salvador Perez hit a solo home run to give the Royals a 1-0 lead. He also doubled in the 7th to drive in Whit Merrifield.
Perez was 8 for 12 at the plate against the Angels.
Brad Keller was the winning pitcher going 5.2 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk.
The Royals are now 6-4 for the season.
The Royals open a 4 game series with Toronto Thursday night.
Jakob Junis will be the starting pitcher for the Royals.
