Residents of Emporia are in for a good time with some bad boys Friday night.
The Bad Boys of Opera will be performing at the Granada Theatre this Friday as part of the 2021 Performing Arts Series. The Bad Boys are a group of three “highly acclaimed male opera singers” who all have impressive performance resumes including performing in Carnegie Hall, the Met Opera and the New York City Opera.
Emporia Arts Center Director Dawn Young says if you’ve never really listened to opera music before, Friday’s show will be a great time to give it a try.

The Bad Boys of Opera follow the Dallas String Quartet who kicked off the 2021 series on Apr. 2. The Bad Boys will be followed in the series by Rumours, a Fleetwood Mack tribute on May 4 and will conclude with Missoula Children’s Theatre in the summer.
