By the end of the day, Flint Hills Technical College could name a new leader.
The college’s Board of Trustees has announced a special board meeting at 4 pm Friday. The only agenda item is approving a presidential contract.
This follows finalist interviews on campus in late March and early April. Dr. Caron Daugherty, a one-time vice chancellor of instruction at Metropolitan Community College of Kansas City, Missouri; Dr. Sandra Kiddoo, the Chief Academic Officer at Hazard Community and Technical College of Hazard, Kentucky; and Dr. Herbert Riedel, recently president of Lurleen B. Wallace Community College of Andalusia, Alabama, are the finalists.
Current president Dean Hollenbeck is retiring in June after leading the college since 2006.
