A Lyndon man was involved in a wreck that led to potentially serious injuries for another driver Friday.
The wreck happened near 197th and Berryton Road in northeast Osage County shortly after noon. The Kansas Highway Patrol says 28-year-old Brandon Herschell of Lyndon was driving a dump truck northbound on Berryton Road when a pickup driven by 28-year-old Trevor Morrison of Pomona approached. Morrison was apparently driving too fast for the conditions. He tried to avoid Herschell’s dump truck but slid on the muddy road and hit the larger truck head-on.
Morrison was taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka with suspected serious injuries. A child in Morrison’s truck and Herschell were not hurt.
